Terapi Sverige – A Network of Online Therapists
Terapi Sverige was originally founded in 2016 in Kungsholmen, Stockholm, under the name KBTerapicenter. In early 2023, the clinic was renamed to Terapi Sverige and transitioned to being fully online.
We provide individual online CBT and online couples therapy with high availability, experienced therapists, and full 60-minute sessions. We focus on treating the underlying issues—not just the symptoms.
Founder
I'm Jonas Walde, a therapist and the founder of Terapi Sverige. I'm 50 years old and have over 20 years of experience in psychiatry, psychotherapy and coaching, working within public healthcare, municipalities and private practices.
Ever since I started working part-time in elderly care at the age of 17, I’ve been fascinated by people’s life stories and how they shape us. I remember enjoying sitting and talking with the elderly about their lives.
I also remember the feeling of being able to make a difference for another person, whether in the moment, for the day or in life. The gratitude I received in return, and how meaningful that felt.

Vision
Over the years, it has become increasingly important to me that what I do in life feels meaningful. Terapi Sverige as a practice, and my work as a therapist, is among the most meaningful things I can imagine.
I have so many fantastic and valuable examples over the years of when my colleagues and I, together with our clients, have helped them make changes that led to the well-being, relationships, goals, and lives they wished for.
But I have also heard far too many stories of the opposite. Clients who previously sought help at other clinics and experienced:
- Only receiving help to suppress symptoms, not address root causes.
- Getting stuck in long queues and waiting times even when needs were urgent.
- Being denied help because they didn’t fit specific diagnostic criteria.
- Only receiving medication instead of proper psychological treatment.
To me and us, all of this results in a strong motivation and a deeply meaningful drive to offer high-quality therapy with competent and experienced therapists, and to make it accessible to as many people as possible.
In other words: Terapi Sverige.
